The largest earthquake, measuring 4.1, occurred in Kelburn, Wellington, on an unspecified date. According to official data, these earthquakes have potentially caused shaking intensities of "Weak" or greater in various parts of Aotearoa New Zealand. On Monday night, a 6.3 magnitude earthquake centered near Wellington shook tens of thousands of residents. The earthquake was described by some as "the most violent" they had felt in years.
