Windows 7 Users Beware: No More 32-Bit Driver Support
Critical Update Required for 64-Bit Systems
Skylake Processor Compatibility Concerns
Attention, Windows 7 users: The search for a 32-bit driver for your device has come to an end, as Microsoft has confirmed its unavailability. However, those willing to upgrade to the 64-bit version of Windows 7 can install a hotfix that provides support for the ACPI Driver on Kabylake platform products.
Note that this hotfix is only compatible with Windows 7 64-bit and not with the 32-bit version. Additionally, Intel has advised that only Skylake processors can support Windows 7, further limiting the options for Kabylake platform users.
If you encounter issues with your TPM 2.0 module, a hotfix is available that adds support for it in Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. To install the hotfix, navigate to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.
