Proposed Legislation for Immigration Reform
The American Dream and Promise Act of 2023 is a proposed United States law that would incorporate the provisions of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program and provide a pathway to citizenship for certain undocumented immigrants who meet certain eligibility requirements.
The bill was introduced in the House of Representatives on March 8, 2023, by Representative Lucille Roybal-Allard (D-CA) and in the Senate on March 9, 2023, by Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL).
